To all the brothers and sisters of Loyola YFC camp Nov. 8-10:

I would like to express my gratitude to God for blessing all of you guys in my life. To have Him bring all of you, to hand pick each of you, to call each of you by name to spend a weekend together. Crazy huh... our lives stay forever changed when we get to know someone new, for every relationship is unique. There is always something different to gain from each and every relationship for there are no two other people that can create that very same relationhship. It is unique, special by a nature defined only by itself. One thing I realized also is that there is a reason for every relationship. And I would like to emphasize the idea that we were all brought together for a reason. A reason assuredly beyond all of us, a reason that is of good because it is of God.

It is true to we must humble ourselves in the eyes of God, and to be humble is the only true way to know Him... though this is true, I want each one of you to feel blessed, feel special, feel God has written you in his hands, feel you have God's love shining on you always, feel God has a special plan for you, feel God has handpicked and called each and every one of you by name to be together, to experience something special... feel that God feels you ready to know Him better... let Christ be your motivation. It is time to get to know Him better... we are invited to get know Him better... there is never a time when he doesn't want us to get to know Him better. That fire that you feel in your hearts, that passion... don't contain it... let it loose on the world... for you know that you are not alone. You know you share that passion, that fire with people who also want to know Him better, who want to get closer, and love Him greater. I hope you see, it never ends, this journey on earth. It's how you make the most of that journey, how you touch others along the way, how you change for the better along that journey that will determine how you allowed Christ to touch you. Be open, keep searching for Him, even when there are times when it's hard to feel Him... He knows your heart, take comfort in that. Take comfort that He knows what is best for your being if you put your trust in His hands. Trust Him. Want to desire what He desires for you... and watch your life change.

Remember, we were brought together Nov. 8-10, 2002 to build relationships that will forever change us. Relationships that He wants for us, so that we will have people that will help us along that journey... during that journey we will also continue to build new relationships. But remember this past weekend, the greater plan for all of us was to build a stronger relationship with Christ.

It's just a piece of His love, just a fraction.... there is so much more... so much to learn and feel from Him. But understand this ultimate relationship will always face temptation, "spiritual dryness", distrust, and evils and take us away from building this relationship. If you truly want it, you will be given opportunities to serve Him. There may be times when He asks you to step out of your comfort zone... when you do, He is making the ends of this world your comfort zone if you do it is for His Greater Glory. His love for you will never falter, never. In fact you will only find it to be much greater than you can imagine. Touch those along your journey, for you are blessed. Truly believe in these words "the best of you is ready to begin"... tell yourself that everyday, for each new day brings another opportunity to serve Him, love Him and be closer to Him. It's not gonna be easy, it's going to be challenging, even. ...

But my brothers and sisters, that's why we have each other... and I am honored to walk this journey side by side with you guys.
