Welcome to a new section of the YFC-Loyola Web site!

Freespeak is derived from a section in the YFC-Illinois' official newsletter, the word. We present to you writings about our life with God - the rare, random ones that come unexpectedly. Thank God for paper, e-mail and other technology that allowed us to committ these writings to memory. Here are the first ones we have, produced shortly after the fall 2002 retreat at Lake Shore campus.

the call to serve. Beth pointed to the crucifix and declared, "There can not be a more clear call to service. We are called to be Jesus' hands on earth." [ more ]


Jesus... stay. Oh how I wish You will touch my family, my friends, everyone i come in contact with the same way you have touched me. But I understand Lord... it's Your time. [ more ]


the call to serve. In the beginning, there, very literally, was light: The night of my first YFC retreat, I noticed the camp shed's yellow flourescent lights make shadows among the trees. You normally think of spooky things when light flickers like that, but instead I noticed how pretty and constant the light was. ... [ more ]
