jesus is
Prince of Peace. Poetic, perfect, just, unnamable Lord of lords and King of kings. We asked each other "Who is Jesus Christ to you?" and if our lives aren't testimony enough... then shame on us. ...

"My relationship with Jesus Christ has created in me a passion that cannot be contained, it must be shared. His love is so unconditional that it has changed my life... and what is love if it is not shared?... it is nothing unless shared... YFC has given me that outlet to share my love and cultivate this fire I have that burns for Him."

Loyola University Chicago: What's it like?

Alumni all say they had fun while at Loyola. It is expensive and demanding all-around. You will get a chance to really earn that degree of yours, but some professors won't give you so much work to do.

Loyola is a commuter school, so even with the Greeks, the dorms, the movies, speeches, parties, festivals, heritage month activities, a change in university presidents, and the nearby Rogers Park business district, school spirit is still mysteriously low.

School spirit is raised a slight, half-caliber only when DePaul University, a rival Chicago Catholic school, is mentioned.

The Chicago Transit Authority's Red Line train has a stop named "Loyola," making you 20 minutes away from everywhere, including downtown Chicago. Shuttles are free, and Loyola's Water Tower campus is right in the middle of Chicago's "Magnificent Mile."

Most students admit that the school's Lake Shore, Water Tower and Rome campuses are enough reason to go to Loyola.

"I like the fact that it's Catholic, it's Chicago," said junior and current member, Corinne Mah. She maintains contact with her youth group in her hometown, South Bend, Indiana. She had a chance to study for a semester at the popular Rome campus, while Mary Grace Hermano went to Spain.

But see for yourself. Here's the school Web site.

What's YFC over there like?

Well... look around the site. We have a lot of pictures, and lots of other Web sites too.

Do I really have to go to every YFC activity, retreat and conference?

No, of course not. You decide your level of comittment while at YFC. But, like any organization, how much time you invest in it will equal the amount you get out of it. We hope to grow more in knowledge, relationship and service to Jesus Christ with you, and hope we get to learn from you, too.
